Events


Typically the Barony hosts or co-hosts two or three events a year. These will have anywhere from 60 people to 400 people, dressed in medieval clothing and participating in medieval activities. Everyone is welcome, from long time members to newcomers. No kit? No problem! Contact our Chatelaine and we will help you get started.

 Barony Beyond the Mountain & Barony of Bergental Yule
Event date: December 7th, 2024

The Barony Beyond the Mountain and the Barony of Bergental bid you all welcome, and invite one and all to celebrate the magic of this Yule season in fine company.

Let the warmth of our NEW hall in Barony Beyond the Mountain lift your spirits with many an activity to brighten these short days and long nights.  By day there will be a delicious repast, martial and peaceful activities alike, music, games, holiday shopping, ceremony, and respite.  By evening we will continue the merriment with court, followed by our traditional Yule Ceremonies and feast.

Golden Sewist Challenge-Event date: November 15th, 2024 – November 16th, 2024

The Barony of BBM invites you to show us your costuming skills. The seamstresses and seamsters of the East will take up the challenge to create a complete set of garments, from the skin out, in twenty hours. Teams of from 1 to 6 active members are to start at 9PM Friday and continue to 5 pm Saturday. Team members are expected to remain on-site during the competition at all possible. If there is a legitimate reason that this is not possible please contact the autocrat and we will work something out.  

Barony Beyond the Mountain Investiture and Armoured Champions Tournament

Beyond the Mountain and Dragonship Haven’s Champions Day
October 21st, 2023, Colchester, CT

This will be a day in which both the baronies of Beyond the Mountain and Dragonship Haven will come together to celebrate their martial champions and to host the tournaments in which they will chose their new ones.

Consort’s and Sovereign’s Archery Championships, May 19-21, 2023, Colchester, CT
The Kingdom Archery Championship, where those interested may prove their prowess with a bow.  This is a weekend camping event being held at an historic 1930s-1950s preservation site and farm.

An arts and sciences competition, Artifacts focused on the things that medieval people would have left behind or willed to others when they died.

A month long competition in which competitors are expected to make a complete set of garb from the skin out head to toe, over a one month period.

The archers of the East Kingdom will gather to test their skill in a competition to determine the royal champions for the coming year. For those not completing there will also be heavy list, fencing, games, and other entertainments.
